Actor | Poet | Fantasy Writer
Rachael Lord (she/her) lives in Fort Myers, Florida with her two rescue dogs. Originally from Topsham, Maine, she spent the first fourteen years of her life learning how to crack a lobster before moving to the Sunshine State. As a professional actress, Rachael has never met a role she didn't love. Her motto is: "There's always joy and love to be found in every role and every moment."
When she is not onstage or writing feminist fantasy novels (and/or gut-wrenching poetry), Rachael enjoys watching reality television, drinking coffee, and teaching the next generation of young artists. She is the Editor-in-Chief of the literary magazine Ghost Light Lit. You can check out the magazine here.
Upon its publication in December 2021, her first poetry collection Fragile Hearts Club debuted at #1 on Amazon's New Releases for Poetry for Young Adults. The Meaning of Stars, her second collection, was released in August 2023 with Nymeria Publishing. Her third poetry collection The Astronaut and the Rose Colored Helmet will be published in January 2026. Her first play Murder Down the Aisle was produced at Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre in 2025. Rachael has a BFA in Musical Theatre from Florida Southern College and an MFA in Creative Writing from Lindenwood University.
